Understanding Intention in a Time of Pandemic
Gary C Smith, Director of Education and Training and Geomic Code Reader, Geomic Code Research Institute - July 26, 2020
In the article I wrote in May, we looked at purpose through the lens of what I call my digital (as in the five fingers) remembering tool. The remembering tool goes like this: 1) Thumb: What is this thing I want to know more about? 2) Index Finger: What does this thing do? 3) Middle Finger: How can I use this thing? 4) Commitment Finger: When can I use this thing? 5) Pinkie Finger: What results can I expect from using this thing?
I realized that this five-step approach to studying a topic might be useful for looking at the other five categories of Geomic Code symbols that affect our decision-making process. I chose “Intention” as the second of the six areas to focus on in this article, especially as it relates to the current times.
1) What is intention?
Intention is how you create your life; it helps frame your wants in a context that allows for them to be manifest in your day-to-day existence.
Intent is energy applied to a specific, desired outcome. It is the seeds of the fruit you wish to enjoy. Wayne Dyer calls intention “…a pit-bull kind of determination." He says in his book, The Power of Intention, “You and everyone else, as well as all of life, emanated from the universal all-creating field of intention. Live from that perspective, and you will come to know and apply the power of intention.”
2) What does intention do?
Intention focuses your energy and the energy of Consciousness toward a desired outcome. Intention creates Conscious manifestations by working in partnership with purpose to give you something to shoot for that has definition. Intention points your attention toward the path of being, doing, and having what you want.
3) How can we use intention?
How you use intention is by activating your ability to discern the path toward your desire. Intention presupposes your willingness to be receptive to attracting your next step as you simultaneously envision the big picture, your desired outcome.
The tools of intention are affirmations, accountability, positive talk with the one in the mirror, and the creation of an intention ritual. This ritual’s essential elements include sacred, mindful meditation on gratitude, asking for support, and letting go of how the support and outcome arrives. It is also important to write down your intention, as well as acknowledge and savor your success. Perhaps most important of all is believing for yourself what the principal character in that old child’s story told himself, “I think I can; I think I can”.
4) When can we use intention?
As often as possible! Intention is the magic wand we all have within us. Intention works on many levels, from going to the store to creating business success, to investing in ourselves through personal development, to partnership with our fellow human beings in promoting world peace and equality.
5) What results can we expect from having intention in our lives?
When we live our lives with full intent, we can expect to receive what we want! Intention gives us the freedom of context within which we can create the world we want to live in and within which we have our being. The world of intent is the experience of passion that comes with the creative process. In this world you can regularly expect to manifest energy, find direction, and express love, compassion, courage, strength, honesty, and determination.
What does intention have to do with the Geomic Code?
At the Geomic Code Research Institute, we have been discussing forming intent as it relates to the pandemic. We are preparing more content that speaks to intention in our lives, and I invite you to join the conversation by providing your comments and / or questions in the box at the end of this article.
Stay tuned and, in the meantime, please take a Geomic Code Assessment and let us know how we can help you take your Assessment results to the next level.
